15 Years Sentence to Abu Bakar Bashir:

Indonesian Supreme Court has awarded sentence to Muslim leader, Abu Bakar for involvement in terrorism. In Pakistan, there is no supporter of Abu Bakar Bashir except religious parties.

300 Subject Specialists in Trouble:

Government of Punjab inducted 600 primary school teachers. On first day of training, 50% teachers were absent. This shows commitment of teaching profession. Department of Education is planning to fire them.

4 Pakistanis Arrested in UK:

Four Pakistani workers were living on expired visa in London and arrested from restaurants. The restaurant owners may be fined for providing jobs to these Pakistanis.

A New Hospital in Islamabad:

Prime Minister inaugurated National Health Complex in Chak Shahzad and announced 500-bed modern hospital to be constructed in one year in Islamabad. People are pleased with facilities in National Health Complex.

Code of Conduct for Media:

PEMRA is developing code of conduct for electronic media in great national interest. Liberty means responsibility. A petition has been filed in Lahore High Court. Sheik Sajed Imtiaz appreciates code of conduct to educate attention-grabbing and information-distorting TV channels.

Copycat Politician:

Recently in Islamabad in an energy conference of a political party Mr. Jahangir Khan Tareen presented the energy chapter of Mr. Humayun Akhtar Khan’s Roadmap with some changes which is very unfortunate. PML and Daily B-Rich requests leaders to give their own solutions to pull the country out from crises and should prepare their own strategies rather than copying plans of other political parties.

Indicators of foreign and internal debt, foreign direct investment, trade deficit, overseas remittances, corruption and international ratings show that political economy is in deep trouble. International investors prefer to invest in Islamabad instead of Karachi and Baluchistan. People are facing inflation and are expecting heavy fiscal budget 2012-13 for next government. Horn Honking Stats:

Tariq Derya Amish and Sheik Sajed Imtiazwith mobile phone recorded beeps at G-8 Markaz and recorded 92 beeps in just 8 minutes. Mostly horn honkers are motorcyclists and van drivers. Islamabad Traffic Police is requested to take corrective action.

Indo-Pak Relations:

Pakistanis carrying Japanese passports and living in India are under observation. Back in 1990s, tens of hundreds Pakistanis married with Japanese women to get nationality. Daily 10 Minutes supports India for scrutiny.

Pakistan Railways has issued non objection certificate to Rawalpindi Development Authority for construction of 2 tunnels under Marir Railway Bridge. Sheik Zahid, a resident of Rawalpindi, is pleased with this progress.

Personality – Sheik Jalaluddin:

He was born in India and migrated to Pakistan in 1947. He did not marry and remained a perfect bachelor. Sheik was very handsome and soft spoken. In youth he loved with a Muslim girl that left behind in Ambala. Sheik used to wait for her arrival at Lahore railway station on Fridays but she did not come. Back in India, Sheik Jalaluddin was a hunter of lions, musician and good player of cards. Sheik looked after Jamal Provision General Store in Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. Sheik lives in living memories of Sheik community.

Revamping Judicial Commission:

Rs.1000 Fee for CNIC Renewal:

NADRA is charging Rs.1000 ($11) for renewal of a computerized national identity card. We met with people at NADRA station in G-8 Markaz and found people complaining for abnormal fees. Chairman NADRA is requested to slash fee for CNIC at least.

Sandori Lal Corner:

Sheik Shoaib advises women to visit shrines of saints with their husbands and do not bow down to graves. He says that all saints are more or less same. Graves and the dead cannot listen to our prayers and understand our problems, therefore, one should directly pray to God.

Silencer-Less Heavy Bikers:

We found two heavy bikers in Islamabad. Hopefully I.G. Islamabad Police Benyamin Khan can catch them through tips from mechanics and fine them.

Suspension of Petroleum Levy Tax:

Lahore High Court has suspended petroleum levy tax and called representative of OGRA for explanation. Business community is pleased with the decision.

Facebook has introduced new application i.e. Movie Maker. Facebookers can make their own movies with clips or personal data of friends.
