25 Houses Sealed:

Excise and Taxation Department has sealed 25 houses in different localities in Rawalpindi for nonpayment of property tax.

29 Arrested in Twin Cities:

Personality – S. H. Hashmi:

Syed Haseen Hashmi was a soft spoken adman of Pakistan. People still call him “Father of Advertising in Pakistan” though his agency “Orient” could not innovate media like Internet, StumbleUpon, iPad and RoadNinja. He helped develop Pakistan Advertising Association and got President’s Pride of Performance award. He believed in continuous work instead of selective work. He died in 2006 when Editor in Chief Sheik Sajed Imtiaz was working for Orient McCann Erickson.

Price Discrimination:

Cigarette packets in Pakistan contain prices in paisa. For example, the price of Morven 20 cigarette pack is Rs.24.83+ Rs.3.97 = Rs.28.80. Retailers charge Rs.30 whereas single consumer has to lose Rs.1.20 per packet. It is an example of consumer right violation and brand-smokers have to argue with retailers daily.
