Excise and Taxation Department sealed houses in different localities in Rawalpindi for nonpayment of property tax.

10-Day Deadline by IPPs:

Eight Independent Power Projects in Pakistan have given deadline to government to pay dues otherwise on 29th April 2012 they will close their plants. Government is arranging funds to provide them.

37 Died in Bomb Blasts:

In six provinces of Iraq, 37 people died whereas 60 persons were injured.

Bhoja Air Plane Crash:

At 6:40 pm, about 127 passengers including 68 women died in plane crash near Koral, Rawalpindi. Karachi to Islamabad bound plane was crashed on a house due to heavy rain and lightening. Army is participating in rescue work. Emergency has been issued in hospitals of Rawalpindi and Civil Aviation Authority in Karachi. Bhoja Air is ready to compensate families of deceased passengers. CAA will issue detailed report on ban planes of Boeing.

On 23rd October 2011, twenty four blind dolphins died of mysterious virus. Blind dolphin is called “Bhalan” in Pakistan. Government of Sindh is requested to share findings of investigation with mainstream media and animal rights activists.

No Writ of Government:

According to Chairman PTI Imran Khan, Chairman PML (N) Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Provincial Minister Sadiq Imrani and former Interior Minister Sindh Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza there is no writ of government in Balochistan, Karachi and Islamabad. [Syed Tahir Abbas]
