1 Prisoner Voluntarily Returned:

Out of 341 escaped prisoners from Bannu Central Jail, one prisoner – Zahir Shah - has returned. Government is thinking to cut his sentence. Moreover, red alert has been issued in Islamabad and Karachi. People and media are blaming police and intelligence agencies for incident in Bannu Jail. Government has suspended Commissioner, I.G. and D.I.G. police.

2 New Police Stations:

I.G. Islamabad Police has set up Bani Gala and Lohi Bhir Police Stations. People are pleased with the initiative.

2800 MW Shortfall:

Pakistan is facing electricity crisis in shape of unscheduled loadshedding for 8 hours and 12 hours in urban and rural areas respectively. President ICCI, Yasser Sakhi Butt urges government to focus on energy projects.

39 Criminals Arrested:

Rawalpindi and Islamabad Police arrested criminals and recovered 3590 gram hashish, 32 bottles of wine, 1car and 18 pistols.

8 Died in Karachi:

In skirmishes between dissidents and security forces, eight persons died. Operation is still going on in different places of city.
